A return to Hayden, the small colony at the reaches of human influence that has become such a critical point in the first interstellar war faced and endured by man. Valkyrie Burning is the third book in what will be a four book series that covers the Hayden War Cycle and introduces us to Master Sergeant Sorilla Aida, Green Berets Operator and unintentionally pivotal person in this stage of epic concerns.
This time we get to see a little deeper behind the veil that shrouds the alien alliance, into the motivations of their commanding officers and their grunts, and even a few hints at their politics. A once alien face is looking more and more familiar to the readers, but the characters still have so far to go.
