Due to the enthusiastic response from the racers and manufacturers, the AMA has confirmed that the ECR eMoto class will be included as a Grand Championship class for the 2023 Red Bull Tennessee Knockout.
“We were really happy to see how much excitement we had for the ECR eMoto race at the 2022 TKO,” said Eric Peronnard, co-producer of the Red Bull Tennessee Knockout. “A lot of people were surprised at how capable and fun the electric bikes proved to be on the tough course. We had seven manufacturers represented and over twenty-five riders racing last year and we look forward to more aiming for the AMA number 1 plate in 2023.”
The ECR eMoto AMA Grand Championship will include three rounds of racing, starting with a hot lap on Friday to set the Saturday morning starting order. On Saturday morning, the eMoto riders will compete in a qualification race. Up to the top twenty riders that complete the course in two and a half hours will qualify to compete in the Sunday championship race, which will utilize a tougher course.
