Description: Camp Lejeune toxic water contamination 1950s-1987. This site was founded by affected Marines and their families who were exposed to the toxic tap water in the bases treated water systems. The toxic water contained Volatile Organic Compounds (PCE TCE), toxic fuel derivatives and heavy metals improperly disposed of by the Marine Corps. The Few, The Proud, The Forgotten (TFTPTF).

Historically, Midway Park, Berkeley Manor, and Paradise Point housing areas received their finished tap water from the Hadnot Point water system prior to 1972. After that date, these areas received their water from the Holcomb Boulevard water distribution system.
