The Fox & Hounds has stood the test of time, with a public house being recorded on the site since the 16 th century. For the majority of its life "the Fox" as we’re affectionately known, was a place for quenching one’s thirst after toiling in the local fields or travelling with your horse up and down the dale and through Barnston. We stock a cracking range of local cask ales, lagers and ciders. Our most popular pint pulled is the locally brewed ‘Trappers Hat’ from Brimstage, just over a mile away. We have a great selection of over 60 malts and whiskies, together with a variety of gins, vodkas and rums. We also have a carefully selected wine list along with a choice of soft and hot drinks.
