It’s the fastest sailboat in the world. If Christopher Columbus had been sailing the Club Med catamaran, we would all be celebrating Columbus Day a month earlier. Standing at the helm of Club Med, sailing through the calm, bright blue waters of the Atlantic off Vilamoura, Portugal, we’re looking out over a hull that extends the length of a 10-story building. The cat skates lightly over the surface. It’s an incredibly smooth ride. The size of the wake is the only clue that we’re skimming along at speeds in e
