The Fabulous Four Fish Fingers are a gang of superhero kids who fight crime on the streets of Tumchester so long as it’s not past their bedtime. In times of trouble Gary, Ruby, Bel and Morris become The Chimp, KangaRuby, Nightingale and Slug Boy (although at first Slug Boy refuses to join in because he says his superpowers are well rubbish.)
The author of the Fish Finger series is Jason Beresford, a writer, teacher, bad ukulele player and a man who speaks Japanese with a Coventry accent. Before he wrote children’s books, Jason worked in TV including stints reading the news and directing Emmerdale and Coronation Street.
The books are illustrated by the fabulous Vicky Barker .
