The Good Scientists is a volunteer-based initiative that aims to connect small, local, and impact-driven non-profits with relevant science and technology in an inclusive and helpful way. Our goal is to make science accessible and actionable for social impact.
With a diverse team of young scientists and professionals, we are working on creating several platforms that will allow us to reach our goal. Firstly, we aim to discover and test new ways in which non-profits and civil society organizations can access specialized pro bono advice from scientific researchers and experts. Improving direct interaction between these parties will accelerate non-profits and provides the currently missing opportunities for motivated scientists to disseminate knowledge in a targeted
Via our platforms, we want to explore new ways for scientists and knowledge institutes to contribute to societal challenges and interact with society. The Good Scientists acts as an instigator of a mutual dialogue, where civil society organizations set the impact targets, and scientists contribute scientific tools and knowledge. Moreover, we serve as a community of practice, gathering knowledge on best practices for interactions between scientists and the Third sector.
