Key Trax helps you create a standard master key system and track every pattern issued as either a key or simply as pinning for a lock. The pinning chart page is laid out similar to the traditional format for a printed master key system from as far back as sixty years. I chose to devieate from the traditional layout because it was possible to do so and improve on the traditional layout. Traditional layouts were based on having to type the pinning sequences out on a typewriter which was usually pre formatted
Because of this forced page layout, It was felt the old method of laying out the master key system was restrictive to ease of comprehending relationships between pinning patterns and master keys.
