Description: Pam Hurst, Founder of The Sterling Butterfly, served as a Studio Artist with the Art Sanctuary for several years. As her business flourished and fellow artist friends sought out retail opportunities, she felt compelled to establish her own store. The vision of opening a boutique centered around fine arts and crafts took shape as Pam nurtured her own enterprise and identified a crucial need for local artists to have a dedicated space to exhibit and sell their creations. Founded in 2014, The Sterling Butterfly offers a location for customers to purchase handcrafted, unique art products for gifts or themselves and artists to have a retail venue to showcase their art. We host workshops to learn new skills such as metalsmithing, jewelry making, knitting, drawing, and crocheting. We add to the community and downtown area by creating a place that brings visitors to the area and provides them a way to explore family-friendly art activities.
