Before Morocco’s game against Canada last Thursday, December 1st, the New York Times called Morocco “the Arab World’s Last Hope” because other Arab countries that made it to the soccer world cup being held in the Arab nation of Qatar were knocked out in the group stage, despite some astonishing victories by Saudi Arabia over Argentina and Tunisia over France.
