I am a proudly Indigenous, (Secwépemc (Shuswap) and mixed-blood Settler), self-taught contemporary landscape painter, working mostly in oils and sometimes in acrylics. My work is about the creature comforts offered by art and landscape and celebrates my journey 'Home' as I attempt to reconcile my ancestry and privilege. Painting is my refuge, both an escape from everyday life and a way to find and experience freedom and solitude while also claiming my place in the countryside and wild lands that surround me
