In 2006, the artist, Jim Gloria, and his wife dancer, Angeline Wolf Gloria rented the former Totts Gap Medical Research facility creating a community arts center for fine and performing arts in the Slate Belt region of Northeast Pennsylvania.
For 15 years, TGAI hosted programs promoting a love and respect for the creative process. TGAI welcomed all students, young and old, to experience the fine and performing arts through workshops, classes and special programs.
In the face of this pandemic we’ve all had to adjust to new ways of going about our business, and TGAI is no exception. Our recent quarantine-induced sabbatical presented the challenge of closing our facility. But this setback created an opportunity for introspection as we’ve taken stock of how we can best serve our community and maximize our impact on artists of all ages.
