Based on a longstanding surgical connection between Ukrainian and German surgeons in Lübeck, we now present an international symposium to foster cooperation between Ukraine and Germany in the context of strengthening the prerequisites for transplantation in the Ukraine. This event will be the beginning of a longer standing cooperation, mutual understanding and support. We are herein focussing on technical aspects, immunological aspects and legislative and organisational aspects of organ transplantation. Ari
