The Institute for Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases sustains highly successful research in acute stroke treatment and is developing new areas of research in stroke recovery, prevention, health services, population health and vascular cognitive impairment.
The Institute for Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases provides students and fellows with an atmosphere of growth and mentorship in building a career in stroke. Educational opportunities are currently available for Medical Students, Nursing Students, and Physicians.
Clinical care for stroke patients is provided at 11 hospitals in our stroke system of care in the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System. In total, our system provides care to over 4000 patients with cerebrovascular disorders per year.
