I saw this post on NAR's IG before it was removed for various reasons. They said that the tourniquet that broke was clearly a fake/copy of their CAT windlass tourniquet. I see no evidence to support this assessment. I also see the real issue with windlass tourniquets highlighted here, and that is if you overtighten them, they will more than likely break on you. This is the number one issue with windlass tourniquets. This is the reason why I consistently recommend the RMT (ratcheting medical tourniquet)
