Description: The historical Vettath Kaavu temple is situated about 12 kilometers from Tirur town of Malappuram district at the bank of Tirur - Ponnani river in the village of Vettom. Even though, authentic details concerning the age of the present temple, is not available, it is considered to be very ancient. It is believed that the deity is the family deity of Vettom dynasty. History observes, the last king of the dynasty to have reigned during the later part of 18th century.
