The VinoXML standard was created in late 2005 by several wine management program authors to allow the exchange of wine information.
This standard provides information such as the description of the wine, tasting notes, vineyard details, how the wine was made etc., in a format which allows an easy exchange of that information between wine professionals and/or enthusiasts.
Any wine enthusiast can then copy the wine information embodied in the vinoXml using basic options such as copy/paste to record this information in their favorite wine cellar program !
