I hold a PhD in Politics from the University of Leeds . I took my undergraduate degrees in Political Science & International Relations and Sociology (double major) from Bogazici University , my master's degree in Modern Turkish History from the same university.
I serve as the vice president of Sociology of Social Policy and Social Welfare Research Network (RN26) of the European Sociological Association , and editorial board members of the Journal of Social Policy and New Perspectives on Turkey .
My academic interests include public policy, comparative social policy, health policy, humanitarian action, the interplay between human rights and social policy, and welfare politics.
