Voluteers have been working in this traditional rural community in South-West Uganda since 2007. From small beginnings there is now a subsidised nursery and primary school (Ruhanga Development Nursery & Primary School) for some 450 children aged 3 to 16 years who would otherwise receive little or no education. There is a small not-for-profit guest house – Uganda Lodge – Owned and managed by a local businessman, Denis Aheirwe, enabling visitors and volunteers to stay in the area and undertake volunteer wor
