The Marathon County Planning Commission , also known as the Wausau Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) , is the federally designated regional transportation planning group for the Wausau Metro Area . The MPO is tasked with studying transportation issues, distribution of federal transportation funds, and helping communities work across their village, city, and town boundaries.
