The woodturnings on this web site are a representative set of the work that I do. Most of these turnings are constructed of many pieces of wood assembled into exacting patterns, then turned on a lathe. The woods used range from local woods through to the exotic woods from many parts of the world. All of these works are constructed of solid woods in their natural state - there is no use of tints or stains. Recent Awards and Recognition I was honored to have one of my vases "Celtic Mood" on the January 2004 cover of the Lee Valley Tools Catalog. This piece demonstrates an intricate pattern of over 2200 pieces of wood in the form of celtic knot motifs. In the 2004 Ottawa Woodturning Competition , Hypersphere #515 was awarded First Place in the Master Turner category and the overall Excellence in Originality award.
