The Aquatic Facility at Heather Farm Park
The current aquatic facility was built in the early 1970s and needs renovation to comply with current health and safety codes as well as modern-day recreational, fitness and competition standards. The Walnut Creek Aquatic Foundation is willing to fundraise to support an aquatic facility that meets the community needs, including current programming and team use.
The City of Walnut Creek is again reviewing options to replace the facility and is considering replacing our current 20 lane pool with a smaller, 10-lane pool. This would mean that the home of the All City Meet would be gone and that we would no longer have a pool large enough to allow for recreational swimming, lap swimming, swim team, and lessons to happen all at once. We would not have a pool large enough for conference championships or other large meets.
