Physicians of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) have been in my family for generations before mine under our ancestral clinic name of De Shou Tang (德壽堂), translated as “Clinic of Virtue and Longevity.” I started studying TCM at age 12 by reading the classics, including "Shang Han Lun" (Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases) and "Wen Bing Xue" (Warm Disease Theory), and training under my father's clinical supervision. By age 17, I had begun seeing my own patients.

I have practiced TCM for nearly 50 years today, and taught at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) from 1992 to 2004. In 2003, I also published my textbook entitled, Diseases of the Kidney and Bladder: Diagnosis and Treatment with Chinese Medicine.

Since then, I have focused my time on patient care in my private practice, with my clinics currently based in Portland, Tigard, and Salem in Oregon. Over all these years, I am thankful to have been able to help so many people in my practice, and I want to continue doing so for as long as possible.
