Westwood Girls Youth Lacrosse League
WGYL is a youth lacrosse league for girls that provides a dynamic and inclusive environment for players to develop lacrosse skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. Girls of varying skill levels participate in learning the fundamentals of the game through practices and competing in weekly travel games on Sundays. Coaches emphasize skill development and progression, and promote camaraderie among team members while fostering a love for the sport.
WGYL competes in the Founders Girls Lacrosse League (FGLL).
The Classic program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Participants learn fundamental lacrosse techniques, positional play, and game strategies in a supportive and inclusive environment. Coaches emphasize fair play and character building, fostering both athletic and personal growth. The program includes age-appropriate drills, practices, and league games to provide a well-rounded lacrosse experience for youth players.
