I’m a journalist, editor and consultant with a passion for storytelling. Best known for my work in science, technology and innovation, I have also written extensively on business, politics, environment, climate change and human rights.
A long-time editor of Cosmos , the science magazine I co-founded, I have been a reporter/producer for Australia’s ABC TV and served as a foreign correspondent for Reuters. I’ve also been a journalist on The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald , editor of 21C , Science Spectra and Newton magazines and was science news editor of ABC Online.
My work has been recognised with a number of accolades, including the AFI Award for Best Documentary, the Human Rights Media Award and two Editor of the Year trophies, and my stories appear in The Best Australian Science Writing anthologies of 2012, 2015, 2016, 2020 and 2021.
