The Western Regional Alliance for Pediatric Emergency Management supports focus groups working on pediatric-focused initiatives to improve emergency pediatric disaster response capabilities. Focus groups consist of multi-disciplinary experts from institutions across the western region. Initiatives are intended to produce helpful resources and guidelines to address challenges that healthcare facilities may face in a crisis. Below is a sample showcase of WRAP-EM’s initiatives:
The Telemedicine Focus Group (TMFG) focuses on optimizing providers’ ability to deliver effective pediatric treatment across regional and state lines by developing resources and guidelines. The TMFG coordinates with hospitals and command centers to leverage telehealth programs into the larger context of crisis management and help stabilize emergency needs.
