The coming decade is bright for optical/infrared surveys! The Ultraviolet Near Infrared Optical Northern Survey (UNIONS) is well on its way to covering its goal of over 5000 square degrees of the sky, and it will provide ugriz images to the Euclid Space Telescope. Euclid is itself set to launch from Cape Canaveral in summer 2023. The Vera C. The Surveys 2 Discoveries (S2D) workshop will focus on the Canadian science of these surveys and building critical mass in Canada to make discoveries with these data. The three-day workshop will focus on talks by scientists actively engaged in the survey collaborations, data analysis methods and pipelines, and results and forecasts from the surveys.
