It’s been on my heart for years to finish a Christmas album. The holidays can be a difficult time for plenty of folks. I’ve had a few bad Christmases and I know I’m not alone. Music for me has long been a way of processing hard feelings into works of levity and connection. Over the years I’ve written a small body of carols that explore some of the lesser sung pitfalls of this 'most wonderful time of the year'. Here online, is Volume I or Side A of that record. Volume II will follow. The reason we’re releasing half of it now is because it’s done. As of late March we’re still working on Vol II, but the first half is complete-ish. Parts have been written for a long time. I am hoping 'Holidays are hard', more than any other album we've recorded, can find the people who need it.
